Episode eight: Ariel

As the crew head to the planet Ariel to drop Inara off for her annual Companion Physical, Simon offers them the chance to get their hands on some lucrative black market medicines. In return he askes that they help him get a powerful medical scan of River done and he hatches a plan to get it all done.

Simons plan works well as they sneak into a hospital and get all the highly profitable meds. After Mal and Zoe head off with the stuff to Serenity, Jayne goes with Simon and River to do the scan.

They complete the scan but Alliance agents show up and persue them. They get away for a time but all seems lost until Zoe and Mal show up and save the day.

The episode ends as the ship leave Ariel with Jayne confessing to Mal that he sold out to the Alliance and Mal leaving Jayne in no doubt as to what would happen to him if he did it again.
