Minds Web Dev Workshop - Every Tuesday Starting 1st March 2011

We will start off with the basics in this workshop for week 1 and week 2. Then we will work our way forward depending on what people's interests are. Out of the first few weeks we hope everyone will learn:

What is needed to make a web site.
How to build a web server.
Web page design with HTML and CSS.
Client side development with Javascript and AJAX.
Server side development with PHP and MySQL.

Minds Gentle Battle Robot - Every Thursday Starting 17th February 2011

Lets brainstorm! [Insert more buzz words] !!!! ....

Basically we want to decide what kind of capabilities we want our robot(s) to have. For example: Wheels vs Tracks?
proximity sensors?
web cam?
speakers?
microphone?
gps?
kinect?
some kind of graphical display?
wifi connectivity?

The hardware we decide to get will affect the kind of programming projects we can do afterwards. Hopefully we can get the costs to a point where we can build two of these robots. More robots means less time to try out your code on a robot
